In 1997 DrumFire began creating CGI visual effects and animations for film, television and commercials, and 3D technical illustrations.

     Since 2009, DrumFire has shifted focus to apply our cinematic visual effects experience and capabilities to the visualization of scientific research.  The combination of the artistic rigor required for cinematic visual effects and the exacting rigor required for scientific research can reveal features unattainable through conventional methods and allow complex experiments and large data set simulations to be better understood by researchers and more effectively communicated to the public.
